Scratch Pay Plan Down Payments
When completing a Scratch Pay plan, clients are required to make a down payment using an eligible payment card.
Eligible Cards
The down payment must be made using a card in the name of the Scratch Pay applicant.
The card can be a debit or credit card, as long as it is issued to the applicant.
Prepaid cards cannot be used to complete a down payment.
Cards in another person’s name cannot be used, even if that person is present.
Important Payment Attempt Guidelines
Clients have up to three (3) attempts to successfully process the down payment.
If the card payment is unsuccessful after three attempts, the Scratch Pay application will be automatically denied.
Any additional application attempts made after this denial will trigger a velocity check denial.
Reapplying After a Denial
The velocity check resets after two (2) months.
Clients may reapply for Scratch Pay once the two-month period has passed.
